Article I: Charter

Ascendum Gaming has the fortunate opportunity to bring a fresh, relaxing gaming experience for all our members around the globe. From an energetic, welcoming and active VoiP, to an informational forum setting for all our users to have available at any time.

Coming from leading various Clans, Guilds, Communities and being involved in the Gaming Industry, you can rest assured that our structured setting, experience in the past and community management applied in our community guidelines will be utilized to all possible extensions when it comes to the resources available to the members.

Article II: Code of Conduct

Ascendum Gaming is looking for members to become a part of a family that are of similar personalities, goals and values to its own. All of our members support and follow our core guild rules and anyone who cannot, are removed. Our Code of Conduct are set in place, so that we can be successful as a whole. Our Code of Conduct include, but are not limited to:

Section II.I:

We expect all members to ensure that all actions they take are done in the mindset of ‘community first’. Anything a member does reflects on the overall community image and on all fellow members. We expect members to only take actions that reflect positively on the community image that we all will be working very hard to create and maintain over the years to come.

Section II.II:

We recruit the individual not the character. We look for unique individuals not only a character that meets a specific set of requirements. As such, members of Ascendum Gaming cannot be a member of any other guild that has a branch of their community in any game we play. Membership in another guild, in games we do not play, is permitted with some caveats: (If you are in a guild in a game we do not or no longer play you must still adhere to the Ascendum Gaming Charter and Code of Conduct.)

Section II.III:

It is not permitted to relay any information outside the community, for any reason, at any time. Ascendum Gaming is a private gaming organization. We do not share information with the public except through official channels and officially sanctioned outlets. Therefore no member should reveal any information, no matter how minor they may think it is, outside the community.

Information that may not be shared, but is not limited to:

–   Access Keys for Games and Products
–   Personal information from users
–   Community Meeting/Division Meetings that are deemed Private
–   Voice Recording of other users without their express consent.

Section II.IV:

Participate In Guild Events, Hunts, Raids and other in game activities occur when you can. You are expected to take place in as many of them as possible. We understand people have lives and cannot live within the online world and that is ok. But if you are online, and we are having a guild event of some sort, you need to be there and participating in it. Actively working against the guild will result in immediate and permanent removal.

Section II.V:

Leadership roles in Ascendum Gaming are decided based on demonstrated ability as well as the need for a leader in a particular spot. You can be assured that your leaders are working hard to make the game more fun for you. If there are in-game disputes, they should be reported to the Division Leader/Division Officers, where they will be dealt with ASAP.

Section II.VI:

We are a family. Backing up your fellow Ascendum Members is expected because they will do the same for you. Ascendum Members understand that sometimes personal character sacrifice is needed for the team to complete a mission. We don’t view it as personal sacrifice, however, because we are helping out a friend and that is more important than loot or pixels on a screen. Games come and go. Ascendum Gaming and the friendships within it, can last a lifetime.

Section II.VII:

Deadweight is not needed in the community. Failure to maintain an acceptable level of activity will result in your removal. We expect an email or post on the forums to the Division Leader and/or their Division Officers to inform them if you will be inactive for longer than a week or more. Simply vanishing off the face of the earth without any email or post indicating you wish to go to inactive status is taken as a sign you have quit the guild/community and membership is removed.

Section II.VIII:

Members who cannot follow core rules and standards, are removed from the community.

Article III: Rules

These Rules go hand in hand with our Code of Conduct, but they bear repeating so all future members understand what we expect from members. Those Rules include, but are not limited to:

Section III.I:

Members may not use cheats or exploits

Section III.II:

Upholding of all community values and rules are required of all members. There are no exceptions at all.

Section III.III:

Members need to behave in a mature, professional, team focused manner. Self focused or immature people will not be tolerated at all.

Section III.IV:

It’s important to make friends within the community. At our core we are a Team Of Friends. So make as many friends as you can. Those friendships make and keep Ascendum Gaming strong.

Section III.V:

Any issues with guild policies are brought directly to the Division Leader, 1 on 1, via email/private message. Publically bashing or complaining about them is not tolerated.

Section III.VI:

Personal attacks on other members are not permitted. Handle issues with another member via private message/email or in private coms, in a mature professional way. Seek a member of management if help is needed to sort out the dispute.

Section III.VII:

Sexual and/or Obscene Content will not be allowed in any way over open coms, in public rooms, or in-game. Remember, what you do represents Ascendum Gaming.

Article IV: Positions and Responsibilities

Section IV.I: The Council

The Council have the final decision on everything Ascendum Gaming. The Council are also responsible for which direction the Community moves into, so we  can grow together in a positive light.

Section IV.II: Community Manager

Community Managers contribute by helping the Division Leader on the backend of the community stuff such as Administration, Propagating and Solidifying Forum and Division Applications set up for the Division that they are currently over. The CM’s should also be setting up full sub forums and discord channels for the Division they are currently over. The Division the CM is over should also be helping with events in game and spreading positivity while being the public relations representative of their division.

The CM must play the game in order to effectively know all situations in the game. They don’t have to play hard but at least show presence. They don’t have to play the game to like it, but rather to play with the division/guild/clan. Should a Division Leader step down or vanish the CM for that Division will fill in until one is selected to take the position.

If the Division the CM is over, is no longer a Division, it will be Community Manager’s responsibility to find other games for the community to get involved in. Actively speaking with developers of all tiers in order for Ascendum Gaming to get into different types of games and getting contacts for the community.

Section IV.III: Community Moderator

The Community Moderator is responsible for enforcing the Council Codex throughout Ascendum Gaming’s Forums, Official Discord and Official Mixer. Moderators should be able to answer any if not all Community related questions to the best of their ability. Moderators should bring Community Member’s concerns, problems or questions to the Community Managers or a member of The Council if they can not be resolved by utilizing Ascendum Gaming resources.

If any of the following should occur, a Moderator should report the incident to a Community Manager or member of The Council immediately:

1: Scams

2: Harassment

3: Flaming

4: Personal Attacks

5: Discussions of a Sexual Nature Including Images or Extremely Lewd Remarks

6: Threats of all kinds including Suicide, Physical, and Sexual.

Section IV.IV: Division Leader

Ascendum Gaming’s format for guild leadership is that of a dictatorship. There is one DL of the guild, decisions are ultimately passed or vetoed by him/her. The responsibility for incorrect decisions is also held by the Division Leader. With that said, the Division Leader applies past experiences of the guild, feedback from Division Officers and feedback from members as the situation warrants. The overall goal of all decisions is to make Ascendum Gaming rise to become the best guild possible for all members. Feedback from members is encouraged regularly and plays a large part in the decision making process. All members should know Division Leaders and Division Officers have an open door policy and that anything presented in a respectful manner is read, considered and weighs into final decisions.

Section IV.V: Division Officer

Division Officers are promoted by Division Leaders. Each Division Officer should be managing members within the guild accordingly. Division Officers are integral in the feedback process that sets new guild policy. Division Officers speak with the Division Leader’s voice when he is not online and are empowered to enforce all council codex rules. This means if a rule is broken that results in removal and a Division Officer is online, the member will be removed. They can appeal to the Division Leader later but it will be rare that the Division Leader reverses a decision since part of the Division Officer’s role is ensuring that each DO is a trustworthy, well respected member that will act within the rules of the council codex at all times. Division Officers cannot set new policies or chose to ignore or not follow.
